Problems with Vaio built in camera

Hello,
I am a Vaio VGN-FZ21Z owner and I had to do a restore since my system did not seem to respond in the right way. Even though most things seem to work fine now and the factory settings have been restored, the came does not seem to work very well. It's blurry and very dark, and not at all as crisp and bright as it used to be before the restore. I tried to re-install the camera driver as well as the NVIDIA driver, but no luck!!

Hi harryup and welcome to Club Vaio.

It is unusual to have a quality issue - usually it either works or it doesn't work!

What versions of the following two files do you have installed?

Vaio Camera Utility
Vaio Camera Capture Utility

Look in C:\Program Files\Sony\Vaio Camera Utility\Version.txt and in C:\Program Files\Sony\Vaio Camera Capture Utility\Version.txt

I can only find the Vaio Camera Capture Utility (Version=2.5.00.06250)... but there's no folder or file name for Vaio Camera Utility... might that be the issue?
