Hello!
I have two issues with my FZ38M.
Number 1:
DirectX applications (no matter if DirectX9 oder 10) run VERY slow. Using 3DMark06 which is configured for measuring DirectX9 performance I get Framerates between 5 and 15 and using a DirectX 10 Benchmark (Call of Juarez Graphics Benchmark) I get below 5 FPS.
I tried without having DirectX 9c installed and with DirectX9, the results didn't change.
I tried with graphics settings on maximum and minimum.
This definitly shouldn't be the case with a computer that isn't even five month old...
I'm still running the Pre-Installed Vista Home Premium.
My HD is partioned in 2 drives. Each has more than 25GB of free space.
Has anybody any Idea what could be the reason for this? I read a thread on NVidia GPU Problems but these don't seem to be speed related, as far as I can tell the GPU doesn't overheat.
Number 2:
My DVD/BluRay Drive doesn't read new DVDs or CDs. Whenever I insert a disc, it asks me to insert details for writing on it, although there is content on the disc. This happens in "My computer" as well as when using the Explorer. It reads discs when I deactivate the drive, and re-activate it shortly after. But to be honest, I don't want to do this everytime I insert a new disc. Removing the DVD Drive and reinstalling the drivers didn't help.
If anybody could help me with these problems, or has the same, I would be very glad to hear from you!
Thank you very much,
Matthias
I've attached the info file from my DxDiag to this post. Sorry for the 2nd one, didn't work with the initial posting.
