hey guys i'm really feeling miserable
. for a while now each time i startup my computer, (sony A117S) the forward slash key acts as if its stuck and its a real pain trying to type in my username and password before logging in. There is nothing under this key cos i have checked it several times its just as good as the rest. Nothing has been spilled on it either.
what i noticed however is that whenever this key is acting stuck, my mouse pad ceases to 'tap to click'. i dunno if these two things are related.
i have recovered my pc twice now cos of this problem and i dunno what else to do. I have installed most of the updates on the sony support website.
i have put the question to the e-support team and replies from them are really slow plus the site has been down for like 398years now..lol.
Neways any form of advice would be much appreciated.
In order to rule out a hardware problem, start you computer in DOS mode and see whether the '/' key works. If it does we can then start to look for Windows issues.
Some compressed air on the key might do the trick, it only needs to be a speck of dust
the same problem occurs in Dos mode so i guess its a hardware issue. I will try out some compressed air tomorrow.
Yes, sounds like it:smileysad:
Good luck with that.
