I see a lot of posts asking on how to get mega bass and tweak the equaliser settings.
Put the player through an frequency anyliser er this morning, and the preset eq settings just about cover all variable ranges needed to listen.
The main problem with sound quality are the supplied ear buds. They have the accoustic quality of a pair of bean tins...do yourself a favour, take your pocket vaio to a nearby hi-fi shp (such as Audio Excellence in the UK) and plug in a pair of SENNHEISER PX100 folding headphones. They retail for around £30/$50 and I bet my last 50p that you will buy them on the spot. The bass can be so rich and treble so crisp on eq setting #2 that it can demonstrate that all pre-set settings are more than adequate....
