Hi,
I've only one question for you:
I've created the Recovery DVDs.. and I'm thiking... Can I now delete the Hidden Partition without any problems?
I need to use this 7 GB of disk-space... and I'd want merge the hidden partition with the Primay Partition C: (with a dedicated program... i.e. Partition Magic...).
Can I do it? Or there are some knowing problems?
Thank you
P.S.: Sorry for my english.
Hi jimmywarsall
Welcome to Club vaio,
Here is a guide on how to delete the special recovery partition.
Before removing the partition it would be wise to create and test at least two recovery disc's sets, because once the recovery partition has been deleted and you find the recovery disc's you created do not work, you would then have to purchase a set from Vaio-link
Hello again,
I've read some old threads, and I've found some anwers to my problem.
With the procedure you linked before I'd lose my installed programs and games.
Can I do it without lose them?
For examples with a dedicated program? Partition Magic 8.0 should do the trick?
Do you think it wolud be better "merge" the Recovery Partition with C: and after delete the recovery files or delete the Recovery Partition and then merge the obtained free space with the drive C: ?
Thanks.
P.S.: Sorry again for my english
You can also use something like Paragon's Partition Manager
Don't forget once the hidden recovery partition has been removed, you will have to rely on the recovery disc's that you have created to restore your Vaio..
Thanks.
I've resolved with Norton Partiotion Magic 8.0.
It worked fine, now I've got 7 GB more.
I'll make sure my recovery disks will be put in safe storage.
Thanks again.
You're welcome jimmywarsall..
