Sony advertised that the GRZ500 series has a max. memory of 512MB but it wouldn't be the first time they got it wrong. You could download Everest Home Edition and check what chipset is being used then compare this with the OEM spec. to see if the chipset supports more memory,
You may find that it supports more memory but of course any upgrade you do on the basis of that info. is at your own risk.
