FW11S AV Mode

Just bought an FW11S and one of the features I was really looking forward to was the AV Mode button, which I understood could load up the media functions without booting windows. Is this right> My AV Mode button seems to do nothing at all when the computer is shut down. Can anyone help?

Only TX and CR series have that function which is called "Instant ON". FW doesn't seem to have it (I have an FW-11M). I didn't look carefully for this function before i bought mine but it doesn't seem as a problem now besides all the pros it has.
