fluid over notebook keyboard

Hi, i spilled a zip of wine on my vgn-fs315b notebook. one of the keys doesn;t work any more. Any suggestions on repair, before i send it on to sony? Cam i fix it myself?

If you go to Maplins you can buy a keyboard cleaner, try that on a cloth rather than spraying directly on the keyboard.

Hi, thanks for your reply.the problem is that one of the keys needs a lot of pressure without the keycover to work. Could it be that the inside of the rubber cone needs cleaning? Can i take this cone of? it the inside reachable? Is there any literature that i can read?

Well if the key is missing you can request a new one from Sony, they'll not charge you for it

kee-lo, thanks again for the answer. the problem is that the at this moment i can only operate the k key without the cover. I don't mis the cover, apparently the key doesn't make good contact. Can i remove the rubber cone and clean the contact? Is it written down somehwere?

The cone just slips out, then you should be able to clean it out.
