firewire prob

having problem connecting my Sony camcorder to Sony computor VAIO with firewire connection. Worked fine for a moment and then no more. Have windows XP.
Any ideas? Thanks

Try going to device manager (control panel > system > Hardware tab, then device manager button) and right clicking the firewire card and selecting uninstall

Restart the VAIO, Windows will reinstall for you
