Hi
I have a question.I have sony vaio vgn-fs315h laptop. Can I write dual layer dvds with this laptop? It is written double layer dvd+-rw on my laptop.I bought a dual layer dvd from verbatim but my disc writing software doesn't access the disc and I hear funy noises from the driver?
Is it normal?
Hi CemB,
According to the specs for your FS315H your optical drive should support the following..
CD-ROM : 24 x Speed
CD-R : 24 x Speed
CD-RW : 24 x Speed
DVD-ROM : 8 x Speed
DVD +R : 8 x Speed
DVD +RW 8 x Speed
DVD -R : 8 x Speed
DVD -RW : 6 x Speed
DVD Dual Layer : 2.4 x Speed
So what can be the problem? Is it a software problem? Is there any other software that you can suggest to burn dvd?
because the dvd that I bought is dual side dvd and can support 4x.
Could you supply any more information
What burning software are you using..?
I bought my laptop from germany and I have roxio as burning program
Hi,
Try another brand, dual layer disks are so fragile that if one thing is out of place then the disk is ruined.
I got the same problem before.. it was the disk,, so try buying a different brand
I have the same problem on my VGN-S3 and S4. I tried 5 different brands of dvd dl and it's does not work anymore ....
I really disappointed by the quality of the matshita drive....
I bought and external usb dvd burner because i really needed something to burn dvd dl. Now even when i put a CD in the drive it seems like a plane at the take off
Im using Nero7 and i dont have any problem burning dvd double layer
