Hi Rizzie,
What is your Vaio model name ie FE41S..?
You can find this info either on your Vaio or in Start > All Programs > Vaio Control Centre > System information..
Edit: I have removed your Serial number from the above post, it's not a good idea to post serial numbers on a public forum..
yes it gives me a completly different model no my board is p4sd-vl serial numbers as follows 28*******-5*******. try it its no good. maybe the board it gives me 4 the numbers is o.k.?
Edit: itnot a good idea to post your serial number on the forum..
Go to "C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Control Center\VCCSystemInfo"
This should display both your model number and current BIOS versin.

Hi Rizzie,
Is you Vaio model not a PCV-RS402..?
If not what model Vaio do you have, ie FE41S..?
Well with that motherboard it has to be a desktop so a suggestion of moving the thread out of the notebook section?
If you follow the instruction above "C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Control Center\VCCSystemInfo.exe"
Then you will see the picture attached. What does it say next to Model number and BIOS?
I think this OEM P4 was only fitted to the PCV-RS4xx/5xx Desktops: -
PCV-RS500C MUKA1xxx 63-0500-000001-00101111-100104-SPDALE_G-MUKA1026 P4SD-VL AMI 8.00 core (Asus)
