12v power supply

I have just purchased a K315z and am very pleased with it.
On occasions I intend to use it connected to my Garmin GPS and use the dispaly as a live navigation facility on board my boat.
As the battery life isn't that long, I will need to use the power supply from the boat which is 12v. Are there adapters [rectifiers] than are suitable [and approved by Sony] for such a task?

There are adapters available but none are approved or made by Sony. A google search will find you lots of options - just do a search for car boat universal laptop adapter

you can do what is mentioned above or you could also get a invertor which converts 12V to 240V mains. But what is the volage on the boat battery. This would be more expensive but this also means that you can connect more mains items which have low wattage.
