How old is this television, the only reference I can get for it is a review from 9 years ago.
In order to use the Google Store and download apps the television needs to be called an 'Android' TV
which if your TV is that old then it won't be.
At the moment Sony supplies TV's which use two different platforms as their operating system.
There are the standard Sony Bravia TVs which use a Linux based operating system these cannot
download extra apps.
And then there is the Sony Android TVs which use the Android platform and can download apps
through the Google Store.
daveyh64 is right, this TV doesn't support Google Play, your best shot would be the options shared by Sony in this article.
Hope this helps!

Hi its 2019 model, so not affected by that older removal referenced in that article.
I have full access to Google play still, it just says that Iplayer is no longer compatible with the last Android TV update which was done a few days ago.

Might have been more helpful if you included the correct model identifier of your TV in the first place.
if you are going to ask questions get the information you provide correct in the first place.
Hi jofried18 , what you provided isn't the SW version, check the following link it will tell you what's the latest, how to check if you have it, and how to update if it's not:
Hi Surch50, Joe was saying that your TV doesn't support downloading Google App Store, you might consider a fire stick or something if not an upgrade TV.
