Hi there just acuired a Sony tv not new without a remote. It has the av1 at top corner and will not go off. Very annoying . Does anyone know how to get this off? Please.

Do you mean the KDL-V26A12U TV? If so, it might be worth looking at this page, where it says, ‘Section B: Checking items of the remote control’. Please follow the instructions there and let us know how you get on.
