iPad has stopped displaying device I’d Sony KD 65XF9005

Until 2 days ago I could transmit Now tv! BritBox, Disney+, etc from my iPads to my TV.

Suddenly I can’t.
I've tried various resets and even a factory reset. The device name is shown on my tv but neither of my iPads can see it listed

is this something I can fix (with someone’s help) or is it an engineers visit?

Fingers crossed for support from you

thanks

Mike

Thanks to spellcheck “ID” changed to “I’d”

basically I get the message ‘cannot detect device’ as the device isn’t listed

Hi @MikeFarb, i think that your TV model doesn't support Airplay.

You might wanna check this article on their website:

Thanks for the reply but

a) it was working - for a couple of years or so - until last week and suddenly it stopped

b) Since the TV software updated (automatically) earlier this week it now works - occasionally - but only with Bribox.

For instance, yesterday morning Britbox (from my iPad) couldn't connect but last evening it could. This morning - no connection again.

With Disney+ and NowTV it doesn't display the TV as a recognisable device

Hi @MikeFarb, Yes it might work occasionally, since it's not supported it means that it might work randomly on and of.

I think you should be able to mirror just fine on this model through an android device if you have an access to one.

Also are you using air play or the casting feature through your iPads?
