Help needed for network connection setuo

My sony kdl-32cx523 is not getting connected yo internet eventhought network results for all 3 shows OK

Afyer setting up wifi through usb extender with lan cable i refresh internet content and i get error of 2206 or 1106 everytime. And when i click wireless setup it shows device not compatible (means usb extender not compatible) I even tried to do manual ip address but of no use. If all setting are ok through wired connection why wireless option shows incompatible device inserted  Can someone please help me

Are you using the specific Sony dongle to get WiFi?

If not, you can’t just use any old thing.

You might have some success with a nanorouter hung on the LAN output, so you can use WiFi to your router instead of a LAN cable all the way, but if you do that, the TV still thinks it’s running wired, and you can’t use/don’t need any WiFi smarts the basic TV may have.

I believe this model is from around the early 2010s and probably doesn't support whatever apps it once had, it'd be a better investment of your time and money to get one of those media sticks instead (Roku, Chromecast, Firestick, etc..)

I can’t find any trace of this device, so I can’t comment on it. But I would remark that the BR-100 doesn’t have an Ethernet connection, so I wonder why the Pix-Link needs this?

I suspect that it may use the USB socket only for power, and if it works at all with your TV, it works as a wireless bridge.

which tells you how to set up a wireless bridge (same as the nanorouter I mentioned earlier, and maybe even applies to the Pix-Link if you are lucky) and emphasises that you need to set it up as a Wired connection, since, to the TV, this is what it is.

You might also like to search online for UWA-BR100, under Shopping, where you will find some genuine pre-owned BR100s, and some £10-£12 devices like what I think you have there, and which can be set up as per the Sony wireless bridge instructions. As perhaps yours can.

Thats right i got it from ebay for 14£ (Adapter For Sony UWA-BR100 HDTV In Dual-frequency USB Fast 300M Wireless) pix-link company brand ans aper sony instruction i did wired set up as well everything shows fine cable connection OK loical access OK network access Ok. After that when i go for wireless setup it showsme insert usb wireless device and if its inserted please check its compatible device. And when i go for refresf internet connection gives me error of 2200 sometimes and sometime1606 displated.

And that is your problem, right there.

As I have said a couple of times above, and as Sony’s own instructions, which I quoted, describe, you need to go for the wired setup on the TV at this point.

This is because the device, despite actually using WiFi (which you set up only on the device itself) pretends to the TV to be a wired Ethernet cable, and so the connection needs to be set up on the TV as wired.

I have done wired as well after that as well it showing all OK but when i go for wireless set up it says insert device (which means usb adapter br100) or check if its compatible device same error i jst cant go to the wireless setup until.and unless it shows compatible device i cant believe that usb port has got issue because i got my pendrive with some files where it shows all the file so its fine jist if i am not wrong the one which i got usb adapter is a faulty but if its faulty then how can i connected through wired setup and showed me cable connection ok local access ok netwrok set up ok just in wireless i cant get through. Breaking the habit of a lifetime, I am going to start SHOUTING:-

DO NOT ATTEMPT A WIRELESS SETUP ON THE TV WITH THIS DEVICE.

A WIRELESS SETUP WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS DEVICE.

INSTEAD, DO A WIRED SETUP ON THE TV WITH THIS DEVICE.

PICTURE 2, DO NOT TAKE THE OPTION YOU HAVE HIGHLIGHTED. TAKE THE OPTION ABOVE IT, WIRED.

A WIRED SETUP ON THE TV WILL WORK* WITH THIS DEVICE.

THE DEVICE DOES ACTUALLY USE WIRELESS, BUT ONLY WHEN TALKING TO THE ROUTER, NOT WHEN TALKING TO THE TV, WHICH IT FOOLS INTO THINKING IT IS A WIRED DEVICE, AND SO THE TV MUST BE SET UP ACCORDINGLY. AS A WIRED DEVICE.

THE DEVICE YOU HAVE CAN REPLACE A BR100, BUT IT IS NOT A BR100, AND IT OPERATES DIFFERENTLY FROM A BR100, AND IT NEEDS TO BE SET UP A DIFFERENT WAY FROM A BR100.

SET IT UP ON THE TV AS A WIRED CONNECTION. WIRED. DID I SAY WIRED? WIRED.

NOT WIRELESS. WIRED.

*To be exact, while a WIRED setup on the TV is the only thing that will work, you still may get this wrong, and have it not work initially; but if so keep trying.

So, what’s happening here? Well your device faces two ways. To the router it behaves as a wireless device - and you will have set up its wireless accordingly - but to the TV it behaves as a   wired device. The TV can’t access the wireless bit of the device, which is why you keep getting errors trying this. The TV can only talk to it as a wired device; and when you set it up as this, all should go fine, as the device works its magic of turning wired into wireless further inside itself, where the TV can’t see.

And there is nothing wrong with your device, and nothing wrong with your USB port, it seems. Just wrong thinking that you can set up a wireless connection on the TV with this device, which doesn’t present itself to the TV that way, and so you can’t, and you have to use Wired setup on the TV.
