Fine picture but only noise for sound on TV

Just bought a 32 kdl-ex500 and set up the TV. The picture is fine, but I only get noise for sound on all channels. I can watch DVDs with fine sound, but all the TV channels come with noise for sound. I don't have digital signal. Hope someone can help. I'm quite puzzled as to what the problem can be.

          Although not sure which country you are in, this sounds like at first switch on the wrong setting was used (Country).

Please try autostartup again and ensure correct country is selected.

1. Press "Home" or "Menu button on remote

2. Goto Settings Menu

3. Go to system settings

4. Auto Start Up

5. If it asks Home or Shop/Retail mode (Enter Home)

6. Language

7. Country

Once this is selected it will ask if you want to start aut tuning, this hopefully will solve the problem.
