Bravia KDL-55EX503 Idle Standby
We use Sony Bravia KDL-55EX503's for our digital signage, connected to PC's via HDMI.
Is there a way we can set it to go onto standby when the PC shuts down, and wake up again when the PC boots up? I can't see anything in the ECO settings on it.
Thank you.

Hi there
There is no way for the TV to automattically turn on, when you turn on your PC.
However to turn the TV off - in the ECO settings, you should have:
PC Power Management: Turns the TV to standby mode when there is no signal from the PC input source for 30 seconds

Thank you.
We also have the PC connected via RS232, do you know whether there's any way I can make use of this to put the TVs into standby and wake them up?

Hi there
As its a TV and not a monitor, they have slighly different functions. I cannot think of a way to do what you want, without adding to the setup you already have.
A couple of links for you that may help.

Thanks, we used to have Sony Ziris installed on a server, and that could make use of the RS232 connectivity and control the power of the TVs, I wonder how it did that and if there's a way of emulating it.
