Yes, you should take this phone to a service location for repair. If you can't update/repair the software yourself there isn't much else you can do unfortunately.

Also, if you are in need of immediate help you should contact your local Xperia support instead of writing on these forums Slightly_smiling_Face

Yes, yes service centers sometimes downgrade to GB software instead. All you have to do is the same procedure as when you updated last time; connect your phone to PC Companion and choose update.

Hi ajay,

Even i'm facing the same problem now. I guess its due to the new update.

How long did the service center take to resolve this issue??

Hi,

Yeah ur right. The new update is the reason for this problem. The service centre took 2-3 days.

They had downgraded OS to 2.3 GB.

Yesterday i gave my phone to the service centre. Just now i gave a call to them and they informed me that they are downgrading it. Another problem is that, since my one year validity got completed few moths back i cant avail the free service,so now i'm expected to pay some amount to the service center.

hey guyssss....pls dont update or install .587 updated version of ICS ( for 2011 xperia series) because it has a blutooth bug ....... so its waste of ur time to get update and repair ur phone repediately by pc companion....sony care also advice to be on gingerbread.... I think sony didnt able to provide a stable version of ics.............its a shame to sonny........
