How to Enter Into safe mode in xperia u ?

I tried different method to enter into safe mode but it doesn't work help me.............

Upon boot spam the menu key. So when you power on the phone you simply just keep taping the menu key during the boot process. This should make it boot in safe mode.

I use Xperia U ICS...
So what I do is power off my device...
Restart it and when the Xperia logo is showing, I press and hold the volume down key till the end of the boot process...
My device vibrates as usual... The gives a longer vibration as a success message.
To return to normal.. Just restart your device:smileyhappy:
