8MP not available in camera?

i want to know about the camera of xperia sp. sp has 8 mp camera, but in my set it shows 7 mp. is this a problem ?

If you have either 

1) superior auto 

or 

2) HDR 

on, it will be 7mp, set it to manual with HDR off and you will get 8mp
