3D issue through HT-SS360

Hi can anyone tell me if there is a solution/update that will allow me to use surround unit HT-SS360 with a BDP-S5100 for3D? All other formats are fine. Help please

HI there

The HT-SS360 does not have 3D passthrough.  So plugging the BDP-S3100 into the SS360 will not work.

I am assuming you have a 3D TV? 

If so, connect the BDP-S3100 to the TV via HDMI and an optical cable from the TV's Optical out port to the HT-SS360's Optical in (TV) port.  Then set the TV to output sound optically. 

Alternatively connect the BDP-S3100 to the TV via HDMI, and then an optical cable from the BDP-S3100 optical out to the HT-SS360 optical in (SAT), and then set the BDP-S3100 settings to output audio optically.

To hear audio on the HT-SS360 when playing a 3D bluray, simply change the input source to either TV or SAT for which-ever option you went for.
