Bought the HX9V for my wife as a birthday present. She used it for a week & then the flash stopped popping up. Got to say that although the camera seems very good overall the position of the 'pop up' flash seems badly designed being in the exact place where it is most intuitive to hold the camer when taking pictures. Anyway wondered if anyone has had the same 'stuck flash' or similar problem with this camera & a possible solution.
My camera is several years old and has always given me perfect pictures but just recently I realised that the flash had stopped working. I read all the instructions from the manual and it wasn't until I watched a short film on YouTube that I was able to get it working again. If you use your finger nails to force the flash to come out of the camera it'll work from now on. I couldn't believe it was so easy!
