I have what I would think is a fairly standard arrangement of Sony Bravia XR-48A90K, SkyQ 2TB box and Bluesound Powenode streaming amp. Sky box is set at 2160p 10bit and connected to hdmi 4 input, which is set to Enhanced format. Powernode is attached by HDMI to Input 3 and sound output is Dolby Atmos (when transmitted of course). All good so far, however when the TV goes into standby, Bluesound support tell me it issues a mute command, (visible in the Powernode technical log) and have suggested I need to turn off CEC i n order that the TV returns to normal volume when taken out of standby. I cannot see where I can do that - help appreciated.
Hi @DrMopp CEC in Sony speak is Bravia Sync. Settings -> Channels & inputs -> External inputs -> Bravia Sync settings.
No sound on UHD was a red herring in that it was only apparent when Sky box was set to Dolby Digital Plus, and was resolved when set to Dolby Digital. The question remains though, how do I turn off CEC?

Hi @DrMopp
My apologies if I was not clear. CEC = Bravia Sync control. You turn off CEC by turning off Bravia Sync control (see image). By turning off CEC you break the link to connected devices. For example with CEC on, the TV turns on when you turn on the Sky Q box. With CEC off the TV doesn’t turn on when the Sky Q box is turned on. Most people prefer CEC on.
Edit: Note Sky call CEC HDMI control, so CEC = Bravia Sync control = HDMI control.
