Can't change DNS to KD-85XH9505
That’s not surprising, as your DNS setting should point to a DNS server, or a gateway to one, and your TV won’t qualify as that.
Rather than describe a difficulty which whatever you are trying to do, can you please instead describe what you are trying to achieve?
We are using IP TV and with a current DNS address we are having broadcasting interjections. When I connect device Zx5G to TV which has another DNS address broadcasting does not cause any problems.
I have no idea what a broadcasting interjection is; which I suspect is a translation issue.
But if I understand you correctly, the DNS settings on your TV are fine, but those on your Zx5G are giving problems.
So the thing to do is get into the settings on the Zx5G, and make the DNS settings on it the same as on the TV.
I can’t find any detailed Zx5G information worth a damn online, but I did find:-
https://www.formuler.tv/user-manuals
from where you can get the Quick Setup Guide - though you probably have this on paper already - and where there are links to copious support options in the bottom right hand corner.
Which you can probably use to find out how to change the DNS settings on the Zx5G better than here, where there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with your TV?
I see you do not understand this problem. The fact is that I have two TV sets: Philips and Sony which are both connected to the same broadband and have the same IP TV supplier. I have no any problems with Philips IP TV, though I have broadcasting interruptions on Sony IP TV.
Is there any possibility to change DNS address on Sony TV? If yes, please specify. Thanks
You are quite right; I do not understand your problem, and I still don’t. Particularly what makes you think this is a DNS problem with the Sony TV, rather than some other problem with it, for which the possibilities are endless.
An IP TV - is that what I would call a Smart TV?
Where does the Zx5G come into it? Have you got two of these, one on each TV?
Or just one, which you are swapping from TV to TV?
Why do you think it is the DNS address the TV is using that is causing problems?
It might when watching material fetched by the TV, but it won’t when watching the Zx5G, which has either got its own DNS, or is pointing to the router and so using the router DNS; but it won’t be using the TV DNS.
Do you know, and can you quote, the DNS address used by each TV?
Do the broadcasting interruptions take the form of messages like ‘Server not found; unable to resolve xxxxx’? Those are what DNS problems look like.
So; is this about errors you get using the Zx5G, or errors using the TV on its own?
If the former, why do you think the TV DNS is the problem, rather than some other issue the TV might have? (As I don’t expect your box to use the TV DNS; though if you think it does, please point me to documentation of this).
And if the latter, why mention the Zx5G box at all?
But if you really, really, want to change the DNS on the Sony TV, then here are Sony’s instructions for this:-
https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00125843
(I found these, as you very possibly could have, by simply typing ‘change dns on sony android TV’ into Google, and taking the top result)
Hello,
just tell me how to change the DNS address.
Thanks
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am reminded to ask you whether you managed to change the TV DNS?
And if so, did this resolve your problems like you hoped it would?
