Google assistant - what can it do?

I've recently bought an 43XG8096 and I'm mostly happy with it. However I've yet to find the Google assistant integration any use. Other than standard Google assistant tasks like the weather and general question I was hoping to be about to control the TV with voice. Like the volume, channel, source, apps, searching for programmes and content. At the moment it will only show me content from YouTube and nothing else. Am I missing something? it seems pretty useless to have Google assistant on the TV unless it can do more TV specific actions.

Hi @cjbrooker   The functions are very limited and not designed to replace the remote. I have Sky Q which has a host of voice functions to control channels, playback. In fact everything you can think of. But at the end of the day it is just a gimmick and having “played with it” I haven’t used it for years.
