I bought used SAL-70300G lens from my friend, this lens are 18-20 months old. They were used only twice. i noticed this lens have back focus. Sony center also confirmed. They said my lens are out of warranty and must be shiped to japan to fix autofocus for 250€ or maybe more (Slovenia).
This lens have factory back focus and should be calibrated for free. Lens costed 1000€.
A shame for Sony.
Why Sony does not calibrate for free?
Thank you for answer.

Hello bacho12345 - Welcome to the Sony Forums
With any electronics manufacturer, you will usually get a 12 month warranty as standard and this would cover both cameras and the lenses as well. This is why it would be charged for and this happens to items of any cost no matter how expensive.
Do you have a more local photography specialist who would be able to make the adjustments for a cheaper price i.e. an independent camera repair centre?
Thanks,
Simon
hi.
I agree, back focus is factory mistake and not something which happen because heavy use or time left.
What do you think?
You are very rude and making fun of your customers.
1. You dont answer to my question
2. Sigma and Canon have their repair center in region, you dont have. no one can repair, because id doesnt exist.
3. Nobody can repair sony lens, only solution is to send to japan. repair cost is like new tamron usd di 70-300mm
4. you dont have respect to customers, i bought sony a57, 50mm 1.8, sony 16-50mm and when i read your cynicism no one can repair for that kind of money is shame for you and your boss and sony.
it was mistake buying sony.
what body do you use with the lens?
Jens
Sony a57
