SLT a77V

Do Sony provide software for tethered shooting for a SLT a77V. If they do where can I obtain a copy?

Hi gohamil, welcome to the Sony Forums

As far as I know, only the a99 comes with addtional Remore Camera functionality.

You can use an eyefi card to get fast transfer direct to PC, which may or may not be what you're looking for: http://uk.eye.fi/

It might be worth adding your voice to the following discussion, as Sony developers do occasionally look in on the forums for user feedback: https://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/message/788774#788774

Mick, thanks for the prompt reply and the info regarding the eyefi card.

Its more direct control of the camera via a laptop or hi end tablet.

As I understand it a number of the higher spec Nikon & Canon machines can be controlled via this method.

This model Sony is one down from the full frame a99, which I would have thought the Sony design guys would have considered for tethered shootting. It would certainly give them an additional edge on an already excellent camera.

As suggested I will add my voice to the discussion.

Cheers
