My excuse if there is a topic with the same subject. But I couldn't find it.

But now my question: I've got a Vaio RS502. And I reinstall windows a couple of day's ago. But the computer can't find the ir reicever:smileyconfused: , and now a can't use my remote contoller for the computer.

Are there Any drivers for the IR reicever????:smileyconfused:


(I've searched on Google with no results....:smileysad:)

I've download the driverpack I could find on Vaio-Link.com. With drivers for the chipset and the modem.. etc. etc.

But I don't see Any driver for my IR Reicever. And I've searched on the Recovery disc but I don't know how it's called.....:smileyworried: I'm maybe a littel bit irritating... But I'm so angry that the IR Reicever don't work!!:smileyangry:

My English is not so good (school Engels) I'm 15 (and from The Netherlands). BUT I've planty of time to learn beter English in the folowing years

I bet Sony have hidden the driver within the cabs of Windows XP Home.

If you know the manufacturer of your IR Reciever (that is if its not a Sony!), then I would definately suggest trying the drivers on the manufacturer's website.

The only difference here is if you try them, it some OEM (i.e. Sony) features may be missing in the driver set. Still, some functionality is often better than no functionality.

If this doesn't work, or it is a Sony unit, then I have no idea.:smileysad:
