I bought sony vaio pgc-71311m laptop recently from Sony Center, Sheffield. While working at home the screen suddenly showed broken lines and then went blank. Then I called Sony Care and they mentioned that this laptop was registered under different name and then they said, they are changing it to my name. I suspect this laptop was used/registered by someone else before I bought.
I sent the laptop to Sony care and they said after assessment they found this was not manufacturer's fault(It is within the warranty period). It is a surprise for me that the Sony laptop has a poor screen quality and poor support.
I am feeling gutted that the huge amount spent on this laptop and time spent for getting Sony support and then finally they are saying it is my fault.
What is the purpose of warranty if they can't fix the hardware fault? I don't know what to do with this laptop?
