Gigapocket picture quality

Anyone got any suggestions how to connect my RZ424 to my SKY and terrestrial aerial to get best quality picture and sound through Network Media Receiver. Currently, when I record programmes and play them back on TV throgh NMR picture not great and there is hissing noise in background.

Freeview does have good picture quality.

Yep And The SONY VTX-D800 , IMHO is a very good and a very stylish unit . Not the least expencive Freeview box . But to go with My PVC PW1 worth every penny.

I use sky+ with a Phillips transmitter/receiver thing plugged into the rear phono sockets. the quality of sound and picture are as good as the original, although not shown on gigapocket as widescreen (is there any way to set widescreen on gigapocket?)

It records as well too. After all, they are both just HD recorders anyway...

Sadly nope, you have to set Sky to a 4:3 TV if you record via GP
