I have a Sony Minidisc MDLP player, however when I plug it in via my Port replicator with the optical cable I am unable to see it, the system doesnt even detect new hardware even when I do a manual search - is there software required or is my minidisc not compatable as I can copy from my DVD player to blank discs etc. My minidisc model is MZ-R900
