Audio Crackling and popping during playing games help please

Hi all

Just got my ar21s, and have been trying out with a few games with it and found a problem with the audio. After about 5 mins the audio starts to crackle and pop, like its distorted or something.

It occurs when I play Battlefield 2142 and sims 2, has anyone come across this problem before?

I've read somewhere its to do with the HD chipset, but I'm not sure what the solution is.

Is there anyway to update the audio drivers? I can't seem to find an update anywhere.

I would contact sony Via e support or the support line. Doesn't sound right to me.

Uninstalling the SonicStage mastering studio filters usually sorts the problem out.

Hi, I've had exactly the same problem with the Sims 2 on my AR21S too (other games - Halo, Civ4, Company Of Heroes - are fine).

I'll try uninstalling Sonic Stage, but the sound on MP3 playback is terrible without them!
