Z4 Xperia issue

I am unable to send and receive sms , my network provider asked me to enter the smsc service number using the code *#*#4636#*#* to go into phone information and enter the details, but when i do that on my Z4 Xperia it just shows blank and dial pad, this code will not work on my phone and i am starting to regret buying a Xperia Phone

Try rebooting your phone into safe mode and try the code again.
