You need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

I believe Sony shoud stop advetising this product! I bought it in a trip at NY... now I'm out of US and without phone!

Never had this problem with the usual iPhone... (Huge regret!)

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Our warranty is based on different regions. If you purchase a phone within the US, the warranty will only be valid in the US.

But do you get any reaction when you try to power on the phone? Have you tried to connect the phone to the charger for a longer time to see if there are any reactions?

@EdsonS

My sympathies!!!

I am suffering the same glitch. Was given a set of instructions to follow so that this SUDDEN DEATH issue is sorted out.  Unfortunately, it does not work with a phone that is in deep slumber (dead, not responding).

 What I have noticed is that seemingly the phone is under some sort of hibernation mode.  My phone woke up from this 'wintering/hibernation period but fell soon back asleep.

I also noticed that the issue is not a hardware glitch but a software issue.  When my phone woke up, I performed functions check and all was well: infact the phone never seemed to have any error or performance, battery or any reportable hitch.

It means that sony messed up software configuraion in some of its gadget.

May anyone with the sudden death issue perform the set of update instruction and tell us wether it solved the problem.

Please update us EdsonS on your attempts to have your phone back working.

Sorry for late reply (the messages was sent tô my spam inbox). Actually, when I went back home (I was travelling) and tried to connect the power, it immediately turned on with full battery charge and as orange1 said... As it never had a problem...

However, the only update I had made in the Day before was to activate the MyXperia function... Maybe it has some relation to the bug...

@EsonS

Keep us updated on the performance of your Z3C after 'waking' up from sudden death. Mine is dead again after working for 3 days last week.  It showed some life 2 days ago but has refused to respond anymore thereafter.

I'm having the exact same problems, does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi donKey1,

Have you tried to hold the ON/OFF button + volume up(+) for about 5-10 seconds without having the phone connected to any kind of power source? Are there any reaction while you press this key combinations?

If not, when you have tried this combination, connect the phone to your charger and let it charge for 1-2 hours before you try to power it on.
