Unable to transfer files to/from USB device after update to 6.0

After update to MM I can't transfer file from/to USB device using File Commander, Astor or any other file manager,also it is not shown within this apps, I can access contents outside these apps but can't copy or paste any thing!!!
I tried different types of USB storage same issue!!
Did I miss something?!!
Help please my entire world depend on this, can't use laptop every time I need to transfer files..

I have ES File Explorer installed and have a goto flash drive connected.  The drive is recognized by ES Explorer.  Using ES File Explorer, how do I transfer my jpeg file to the flash drive?

I have had this issue with my Xperia X and eventually found this app worked. File Manager by Maple Media (Free) on Google Play.

It allows you to copy and paste files from SD to USB Flash via OTG or Phone Internal Memory to USB Flash via OTG or Internal to SD and vice versa with no issues and no need for phone to be rooted. Took me ages to find this after trying various file mangement apps. Hope this fix works for you guys as it is working fine for me so far.

I have an Xperia XZ premium and wish to back up to a seperate 128g San Disk thumb drive. Am unable to get the Xperia to recognise this device. No problem in backing up to my computor. Any ideas how to deal with this?

This is happening to me as well not sure if it was the latest update or not, i did install that system update though last night i cannot transfer photos from my SD card to my Laptop.

It starts to transfer and then says error.

Does anyone have a solution?
