Sony xperia z5, E6653

Bought this phone second hand from the internet recently worked for 10minutes, then stopped and now not working at all stuck in emergency calls only, tried the Sony companion program, and came up saying phone locked, the phone is still under warranty, emailed Sony Xperia care, replied not saying much, any suggestions, thanks

I'm sorry to hear that, but most likely the person who sold the phone to you either reported the phone (assuming that it's network branded) or maybe you have entered the wrong password too many times, either or, you will have to contact the seller to either get the Gmail and password to unlock the device or just return the phone.

I broke the screen in my phone some time ago and put into storage as it was too expensive to repair. I've since given the phone to my son who has replaced the screen. I attempted to unlock the phone with my finger print but it wont unlock. It asked for a code which unfortuneatly I've forgotten. Is their any way I can unlock the phone with Sony or third party software please?

You can repair your phone software with Xperia Companion but you will need the password for the Google account you used to set up your phone in the beginning.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure how to do this?? When I log in via the Companion software I get window popping up that says enter the PW to unlock the phone. That is the problem I don't remember the PW and my finger print does not work.

Thanks again for your reply but no luck. When I follow the instructions and hit the link it opens up Google Find my phone. I look at the map and my phone does not appear. Before the screen broke on this phone everything worked fine including the finger print log in. I'm struggling to get this working.

You can still perform a software repair without the screen password, power of the phone, connect it to the PC, press software repair, select that you can not start device and follow on screen instructions. When you have any doubt press the ? on the screen of the Xperia Companion.
