Removing WAP push notifications
I have a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact phone. I have accidentally agreed to receive WAP Push notifications. Ever since I did, I've been getting ads for all sorts of products at the bottom of my screen whenever I open a saved document on my phone. How do I stop this??
Cheers,
Peter Wise

Then the problem it's a third party app, you will have to figure out which app it's the culprit.

Odd, what if you clear the app data?

JFYI,
WAP push v1.0.A.0.15 (~5.05MB) is an app already installed after factory reset on my Vodophone Xperia Z2. It cannot be disabled, perhaps part of one of several Vodophone additional softwares.
The notifications are real annoying, but only pop up after every reboot.

Further to previous post,
Notification issued:-

WAP Push
Allow the WAP Push application to receive messages sent by your ntwork operator.

Perhaps WAP Push is part of the Vodophone Update app. Have uninstall all removable Vodophone stuff, WAP Push still remains.

Hello,
Late reply: yesterday I received my Xperia XA2 Ultra and at one point saw a notification "Wap Push - missing authorisation".
Since I never ever heard anything about Wap push before I did some searching.
I do not have a sim installed yet and think that installing/activating a theme is the cause. I removed the themes and cross my fingers that this never never shows up again.
Regards,
Helen

Has anyone already solved this problem?
I got this disturbing messages on Sony Xperia XZ (F8331). I can disable it but only to new power on. Then pop up again.
