Not been able to send files through Bluetooth or NFC, after pairing my Xperia Z with my other Phone, but able to receive files from other phone to my Xperia Z

Hi,

I am not been able to send files through Bluetooth, on my Xperia Z, while I am able to receive files from my Blackberry to Xperia Z through Bluetooth. Two mobiles are already paired, as it is showing in the Smart Connect, that the mobiles are paired. But from Gallery after selecting files, while clicking on the Throw option, it is showing no devices found, check the Output device configuration. But there is no problem in the Blackberry pairing, as I sent files from Balcberry earlier and it was received by Xperia successfully. Then I put the NFC ON, on my Xperia and on my Blackberry as well. But the result was same on Xperia, no device found. I request you to help me to resolve this problem.

Here I would like to mention one incident. After buying this phone I took it to Sangeetha Mobile Store, in Bangalore to put the Screen guard. While putting the Screen guard, the Executive removed a small chip type sticker from the back side of the Phone and thrown it off. Later, one of my friend came and said that small sticker is originally a chip which enables the NFC connectivity on the Phone, without that I will not be able to enable the Throw option to display the mobile content on TV or any other device.

Please let me know if this is true. If so then where can I get the Chip and buy the same. And, is this the reason why I am not been able to send files through Bluetooth or Connect through NFC.

To send the pictures using bluetooth you need to select the share option (3 connected dots) and then select Bluetooth in the list. Throw doesn't send files over bluetooth. This is used to display pictures over WiFi using DLNA.

The sticker your store removed is just a sticker and should be removed when adding a screen guard. Are you sure that your other phone has NFC?

Thank you very much for your helpful support. I had followed the instructions suggested by you and it is working fine.

Regarding NFC, I think I still require some help. As you asked me, yes the other phone with which I was trying to connect through NFC is having NFC, as the phone is Blackberry Curve 9360.

Please let me know if I need to make any further changes either on my Xperia Z or Blackberry, after enabling NFC on both the Phones.

From what i've found, NFC file transfer in BlackBerry requires BlackBerry OS 7.1. Make sure that the BlackBerry is updated to BlackBerry OS 7.1.
