My keyboard does not work properly
After the last update my keyboard stopped working properly I can't use the letter s, w, d and e. I had to use the compact version for my keyboard.
At the beginning I thought that was the screen but I did the test and everything was fine, but my keyboard didn't work, so started to compact version.
Do know how to fix it???

Hi @GabsM, welcome to our forum and I'm sorry to hear about this.
I would like to know if you are you using the pre-installed Xperia keyboard in your device, just as @NeoBeum asked about.
If you are, have you tried downloading another keyboard application and checked if you experience the same behaviour when using the full keyboard? You can also try and reset the Xperia keyboard application in your device. To do that, go to Settings > Apps > 3 dots in the top right corner > Show system > Xperia keyboard > Storage > Clear data.
Do note that this will reset the keyboard in the device.
Let us know how it goes!

This is my second Xperia with the same problem. The 'P' on portrait keyboard is often unresponsive which makes tipping a pain. Exact same problem I had before with the previous phone. Must be a bad batch of keyboards out there. Love the phone otherwise.

Enable Developer Options, and enable
Show taps and pointer location
see if your pointer is accurately responsive to the taps on your device

Hi again @GabsM, sorry to hear that there was no change.
Is it the same if you install another keyboard from the Google Play store? I just want to make sure that it's the actual keyboard that is the cause of this and not the touch screen.
You can also try and rotate your device in landscape mode and see if you then are able to access these letters.
If you still can't access these letters, try and run the diagnostics test for the touchscreen which you can find in, Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test > Touchscreen.
@Jeffatl, very sorry to hear about this.
You mention that this occurs when the device is on portrait mode, does it also occur in landscape mode?
If you could try with another keyboard app from the Google Play store that would be great, so we can see if the installed keyboard is the cause of this. You can also do the touchscreen test.
Let me know how it goes for both of you!

Simply put because of this really obvious and critical fault I will never buy another Sony phone... Ever.
Pathetic to release such a flawed product. The irony is I have had to type this message using your flawed key board.
Do not buy a Sony phone. And I will be saying this to everyone I know .
Nick.
