lost all my data

okay my phone screen somehow broke so i decided to use one of my mums old samsung galaxy s5, and i put my sd card in the phone and went tothe settings because for some eason the sd card wasnt working. and i saw an option called format which i thought was to transfer my data onto the phone to i didnt read it and agreed then realised nothing changed so i went to the settings and to storage and realised there was nothing on the sd card i wnt to format agin and read it and now ive lost all my data but i dont know if they are backed up or not i cant remember. HELP!!!!

Sorry mate,  when you format something you completely erase it,  with you formatting your SD card you have wiped it clean of everything on it. The best you could hope for is some of your files remaining on your Xperia or maybe you stored some on a laptop/tablet,  other than that you've lost it all I'm afraid.
