Hi everyone
The issue can be solved only by a firmware update from Sony
The problem is with 2 system process which can only be deactivated but can not be removed and they causes the problem
Those system process are:
com.facebook.appmanager
com.facebook.system
Sony must react with an update or at least with a patch

Hi guys
I found the solution, everything works fine now
First make a factory reset
When it's done do not install or update any thing
Open Google play store (don't apply any update)
Search and install Messenger it will pass
Then update Facebook it will pass too
Then you can install and update whatever you want
Enjoy

Am failing to install facebook for android and messenger on my xperia z5. Had both apps installing perfectly before upgrading to android 7.0. What could be the problem? How do I solve it?

Hi,
Facebook complained it was out of date, so I tried updating it from Play Store and got error -505. Thinking that might help I removed it and tried installing again. It didn't help, and neither did a reboot.
Here's a log:

Re-read that log and figured that pesky com.facebook.appmanager could be coming from another Facebook app - Messenger. So I removed that and yay - Facebook installed. But now Messenger is the one getting -505.
I wonder if this is Z5 specific.
Edit: aaand I somehow missed an existing topic about this and now I feel like an idiot. Still, there is still no proper solution for this as far as I understand.

For everything is running well Facebook and Messenger
I posted it and you are looking for anything else
Do a factory reset and you'll be over of this issue
Otherwise you'll wait for an update from Sony which is not planned for tomorrow
