Hello,

I have my new phone only for 2 weeks and I am travelling at the moment. All in a sudden the display doesn't switch on anymore. The phone is charging, and the small light is blinking that I have new messages. If I press the power button, it recognizes my finger and the screen gets illuminated but it stays in a black colour! I can't do anything else.

I hope someone has an idea!

I am sorry to hear about the problem you are having with the display

Have you tried connecting the handset to a PC/Mac computer with Xperia Companion installed to see if an update is available for the device, if not please try this as updating the handset may help resolve this problem.

If no update is available you may need to run a software repair to resolve this problem, Xperia Companion is also used to perform this task. I have supplied instructions via a hyperlink below.

You may also be able to back up the handset, try using the backup instructions first and then move on to the software repair function.
