Hi,
My camera isn't working anymore. When i open the camera, the screen stays black. The front camera is working. And if i use the diagnostic center, the app crashes. Does someone have this problem? Thank you

Xperia z3 here. Got the black screen with the rear camera today. Didn't know why.

I have lollipop 5.1.1 .

I tried to delete the cache and data in the apps settings, it didn't fix the problem.

I installed the google camera apk, but the screen was black as well.

I was about to upgrade my phone to android 6 but before I tried one last solution I found on Internet, and it fixed the problem

The solution that worked for me was to turn the flash light on and off several time (from the quick settings dropdown).

I knew it was a software problem and not a hardware problem because the rear camera was working with some other apps such as snapchat.

I can t even turn off the led light using the stupid flashlight shortcut in the dropdown menu

I have thé same probleme i get tired from Sony its upset me i have evrything but thé same **bleep** anyone can help me ? Thnx

Hi there same problem here.... Nothing has solved it so far. Any idea, Sony? Updated to Marshmallow a month or so ago, fine till a week ago, not now. Help!

Guys, just show this image in service! 15 minutes and your camera works again! Works for me and other with the same problem. It happens when phone droped!

My girlfriends Z3 Compact (2 years old) now has a black screen when using the rear camera which only becomes active when i press very hard on the back between the flash and lens. But this is not a solution, its impossible to use the phone when doing this.

I've read about some hardware defect, some capacitors or something? I'm willing to open it up and use my soldering iron if required! but no information about what I need to do to fix this. If the above person can give more info that would be great, but looks like English is not their first language.

Otherwise looking like she will buy a new phone...and it wont be a Sony again...ever. (I wont be getting one either despite being interested in one because of the good battery life)

Dimhalo ,I am facing exactly the same problem with my Z3+ which is 8 months old. rear camera only becomes active when i press very hard on the back between the flash and lens. Did you find a solution of this?

Hi I have a problem with my camera in my Sony Xperia Z3. Main Camera does not work. The screen is compeletely black. Do you know what the problem can be?
