Auto rotate suddenly didn't work, already tried repair firmware on PC companion but still auto rotate doesn't work. Pls. Help me i really love this phone a lot.

Settings > about phone > diagnostics > test the phone.

Hello @Regie I was reading another post similar to this. My Z5 did the same and I uninstalled the last app Camera 360 I downloaded and everything is working ok again. Hope this helps

Hi guys thanks for the replies, already did factory reset and repair firmware via PC companion and still problem is there. I also did the diagnostics everything was ok except for the GYROSCOPE and ACCELOMETER.

Also, i tried downgrading it from 5.1 to 5.0 but still it didn't fix the problem.

This problem occurs when i rrceive a 13mb of update from Sony that prompts into my phone since that time my auto rotate feature starts to malfunction then eventually it won't work anymore.

I hope some one could help me to fix this. Thanks in advance.

Can you restart your phone into safe mode and try diagnostics from there?

Hi @Quester,

Thanks for helping me out. Tried it on safe mode but still accelometer and gyroscope is not detected even the GPS too. Also, after doing each and every test there's an error prompting me "UNFORTUNALTELY, DIAGNOSTICS HAS STOPPED".

Oh my, I hope this is just a software issue. 😞

My husband had a similar problem with his Z3 Compact tablet whilst using Hotmail, i.e. he could not rotate it from Portrait to Landscape. In the end he opened his Hotmail with Chrome and the fault repaired itself! Hope this helps?
