Hi @Moe010, welcome to the community.
The contact may be linked to another account, for example Skype, Whatsapp etc.
When you tap on the contact and edit it, it should show you where the contact is saved. You should be able to delete the contact from the app they are saved to and have them be removed from your contacts list.
