I used my Z5C while showering and when I came out, I discovered condensation under my cameras, flash, and proximity sensor.
Obviously I made sure that the flaps remain tightly sealed since I bought this retail price on eBay (bought it off a guy that claimed that this comes with warranty, but I have since discoverd from multiple sources that the warranty claim is a scam).
I tried everything I could to get the condensation out of the cameras and sensors. The front camera cleared of condensation, but the back camera and flash hasn't shown any improvement, and the proximity sensor isn't working properly either.
I opened my flap, and I discovered that the litmus paper was now pink.
Not sure how water got into my device this way, since all I did was shower with it, and it didn't get hit by the water directly.
The US support team is absolutely useless and unwilling to help me, and the guy that claimed to have warranty is now avoiding my messages.
Any help would be appreciated, please!
heat from the device caused it to have moisture and condensation.
there is nothing else you can do but to have your phone repaired at your local service center, and this is not covered by your warranty http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/
Do all the functions of the phone still work or is it totally ruined.......if everything still works fine & it's the condensation you are worried about, leave the flaps open & play some games/take a few videos etc basically get the phone to heat up, this should help clear the condensation or you can try the rice method. But if your phone is def not working then follow the advice given to send it in for repair
