Hi Everyone!
I bought my Xperia Z2 Tablet about 3 mounths ago and, one mouth later, I noticed a yellow tintner of the edges on my screen. The edges are visible, especially when the temperature is about 30°C.
As you can imagine, the device is warranted for 48 mounths.
I sent it to one of the Authorized Sony Assistance in my country and they said that the device, in particular, LCD screen will be repaired without warranty, but I have to pay it.
Is that fair? Can I do something to take advantage from the warranty I have? I really don't want to pay the fixing because the device has no damages and I treated it the best as I could, only for studying.
I think that the device has a serious manufacturing defect and, as I said before, i don't want to pay it because of that.
Thanks for your reply and help!
@uliwooly
I can't imagine what kind of stress the screen caused the problem.
As I said, I used the device only for studying. I don't play, I only use it at home and, as you can imagine, I don't put it in any bag.
What can I do?
Thank you SO much for you reply!
You could repair the phone with XC but most likely you will have to contact your Local support

Thanks for you help, uliwooly
Hi there,
I have the same problem with my Z2 Tablet.
This seems to be a general problem.
What did the support tell you?
Thanks in advance,
Marc
Me too, some yellow on the screen. Sent in for repair as I believed this is a defect, covered under the warranty agreement. And been told that it's me! I've put pressure on the screen, in random places, which I know isn't the case.
They are asking £150 to fix.
Awaiting a call back from Sony Escalations as not happy.
Poor show from Sony as this is clearly a manufacturing fault unless we are all being heavy handed with our tablets!
