I've got 2 Sony Z1 Compact phone, one for myself, one for my girlfriend.

When using Whatsapp Voiceapp options, we're both experiencing issues with listening to the messages through the loudspeaker (not by the "earspeaker"). All messages ending approximately 30 sec. to early. It just stops playing. We've tried other phones with Android 4.4.xxx and the same Whatsapp version, but none of them got the same issue, so it isn't related to Whatsapp, but it's an issue of the Z1 Compact.

Is this issue already known by Sony and will Sony solve it in the near future, because it's a really frustrating bug that the loudspeaker isn't functioning properly.

That's a whatsapp issue not Sony's, contact whatsapp's developers and report the bug

Sorry to say, but I already wrote it's not a Whatsapp issue. No other Android device experienced the same issue, Samsung, HTC, LG, etc. So if no other device got this issue, it's an issue related to the Z1 Compact only, thus an issue caused by the Z1 Compact.

So Sony need to fix this, because Whatsapp simply can't fix an issue, that's related to one device only. It got something to do with the loudspeaker, because the earspeaker doesn't got this issue.

I doubt you have checked all Androids on the market, Sony has nothing to do with whatsapp, vine, facebook, etc (third party) app development, bug fixes, etc. it is up to the app developers to fix any issues with other Androids.

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. I wrote that no other device got the same issue, but I meaned that: no other device that I've tried, got the same issue (with them Samsungs, HTC's, LG's).

I'd never expected that there would be someone in the world that really would think that I've tried all devices on the market. My mistake.

Don't worry about it, but app developers are supposed to address this compatibility issues and/or bugs.

I am experiencing not also this issue but also screen lock when making phonecalls. I tested proximity switch and it says "on" when using the USSD code I found on another thread.

Is this coincidence? Any solutions you could think about?
