Unreliable customer service

I recently sent a phone in to be looked at after it fell in the snow and stopped working .
Its the third phone now that is supposed to be waterproof that it has happened to .
You have told me its not fixable and I need a new one at 200+ pounds .
I can't afford that and tbh didn't expect that .
Therefore um having to recycle my phone . so I'm left with no phone at all . dissapointed isn't the word . I used to love Sony and devices but after these 3 instances iv lost all faith in them . I won't ever buy another and I won't reccomend to anyone . sold as a water proof phone and breaks when dropped in snow is very poor .
Sorry it has come to this but from now on I'm steering well away from Sony .
Not happy at all

@noeltrigger

I'm sorry to hear about your issue, but if your phone had any cracks or the covers were open then it won't be waterproof, also, you can request a vacuum test, that will prove who is at fault; if either you have a faulty unit or if it's user's fault.

Well 3 phones , same issue says something .
Also they did replace 1 phone after admitting a fault.
No confidence , I'm moving away from Sony after 15 yr

@noeltrigger

Sorry to hear that but you should request a vacuum test.

I'm very sorry to hear about your phone Slightly_frowning_Face

I recommend that you contact your Local support for more information and assistance in this case.

I do see you have an ongoing case there as well where there's a picture attached of a water damaged phone that's also missing the cover for the USB-port. If that cover was missing when you dropped it in the snow, that might explain how water could enter it.

Anyway its been recycled and I'm looking for another brand
